Have you guys seen this “Warehouse 13″ on Syfy yet? Not only is it actually pretty awesome, there have already been references to Edison, Farnsworth, and Tesla himself.

I haven’t seen it and I don’t believe Scott has either. It does sound like it ought to be up our alley, though.

I, too, will always think of relativity as a crackpot theory in my heart of hearts.

To the death ray that could’ve been!

Thomas -We only celebrate the obscure and underrepresented. . . .and we’re both a couple of pinko commies!

Mike -I’ve heard about Warehouse 13 but I don’t have TV. I’m sure I’ll stumble across it on the internets though. From what I hear its like X-Files, but it all takes place in one location?

Also, the “Sif-fee” name change at Sci-Fi Chanel. WTF? LAAAME.

It’s kinda like X-Files meets that warehouse at the end of Raiders of the Lost Ark. The warehouse holds all these items that are, for lack of a better term, “magical” in nature, and it’s the job of the two main characters to track items down to store there.

So far I’ve just seen the “premiere” movie, but from a mad-science angle, the characters:

    1) Have a car they use to get around the warehouse that runs off of the body’s electricity and was designed by Edison to show proof of concept to Ford…but Ford didn’t want to switch from oil because it made his engines wear out faster which meant people had to buy new ones.

    2) Have a “video phone” created by Philo Farnsworth soon after he created the Television that they use to talk to the guy that stays at the warehouse.

    3) Have what basically amounts to a “stun gun” that was designed and built by Tesla as an “alternative to bullets”.

As for the change to “Syfy”…I wasn’t a fan at first either, but apparently the reason is because they wanted something they could build into a brand, and you can’t copyright “Sci-Fi”. So I don’t have to like it, but I get it.

(Also, can I just say that Philo Fanrsworth would be really cool to see show up in Robo at some point?)
