That’s right, folks. The first issue of the new series of your favorite comic is now available!

Atomic Robo and the Revenge of the Vampire Dimension!

New York City, 1999. Atomic Robo has to wrap up some loose ends before jetting off to Japan for a business trip. Yup, just an average day at Tesladyne HQ where nothing bad can happen. Especially not The Revenge of the Vampire Dimension starring Atomic Robo, the force of nature known only as Jenkins, a ton of vampires, and Dr. Bernard Fischer on his very first day on the job!

You should pick up this comic. But you don’t have to take my word for it.

I just saw a commercial for the iPhone with Robo panels to demonstrate the comics app. How cool is that?

Also, hurrah for the early ship date!

  • http://www.nuklearpower.com Brian!

It's very cool! It'll be much cooler when someone puts it on YouTube so Scott and I finally get to see the damn thing though.

  • OldManRupee

Yep, I can also confirm that Atomic Robo officially makes iPhone ads at least 50% more badass, even here “across the pond”!

I was quite pleased yesterday when I went to the comics store and found that a treat had come in early. Yay!

Any word on when Amazon et al. will restock TPB Vol 3? It seems to have sold out fast – congrats, but for those who didn't get one the first time around: will there be more printings, or will we have to wait (and hope) for a reissue?

  • Justin B

Hey guys, loved the new issue. There's an Action Scientist sporting the Macross/U.N. Spacy logo! Way to go, Scott!

There's plenty more left, Diramond is just being its usual incompetent self when it comes to adequately stocking our books.

You'd think after two and a half years of consistently showing there's a greater demand for Robo than their system says there ought to be would convince them that their system is wrong. But apparently not!

All I can offer is an apology on their incompetent behalf and ask for your patience.

Remember how Republicans in the 1990s used to ask why Govt can't be run like a private enterprise?

    There's your answer.

  • http://www.nuklearpower.com Brian!

They're still asking that. Aaaand they're still wrong :)

  • Scott!

There's another Robotech nod in this year's FCBD story, but I forgot to point it out to Ronda so the colors are off. There's also one in Vol.1.4

  • rscheckel

    uh… the ball… the park… they're really… they're really far apart, now… because… because you guys hit.. it.. the ball…

You know, that sports-related cliche? You guys did that!

    ;-)

So do you follow any of the later Macross series, like Macross Plus, or are you just a Robotech fan?

  • yayap91

Just got it yesterday, its Incredible! I have a question though: why does red5's website have it listed as a February 24th release? And can we expect an accurate release for issue #2?

And also Scott, my xbox died, and is out of warranty :( but we will get it replaced when bad company 2 and lost planet 2 come out. Are you getting bad company 2?

  • Scott!

I'm a huge fan of the original Robotech: Macross, and Robotech: MOSPEADA/New Generation.

I've seen all the real Macross (by which I mean -not reinvented by Harmony Gold) movies, and they all sucked pertty hard, though the animation was top notch. Brian tells me that the TV mini-series that they are cobbled together from are very good, but I haven't seen them.

I LOVED the recent Macross Zero mini-series.

  • Scott!

    You need to ask?

BC2 was pre-ordered and paid for months ago. LP2 will definitely be on my “must buy” list. Sorry that you xBox died. =(

Release date: It was supposed to be the 24th. Diamond told us it would be the 24th. Then Diamond released it on the 17th. Except in (parts of) the Southeast.

Let's just do it like this.

If you ever have any question about “What went wrong?” the answer is “Diamond.”

Is there any way your next t-shirt could read: “Remain Calm: Trust in Science.” ?

  • http://serge-lj.livejournal.com/ Serge

    I want one!

  • http://www.nuklearpower.com Brian!

    Yes.

  • http://jjcm.org/ Jacob

Question: I'm not a papery kind of guy, nor do I own an iPhone. Is there any other way for me to acquire the comic (e.g. digitally). There's a few torrents of it out there, which has it in my preferred format (just a folder with .jpgs in them), but I'd like to support you guys at the same time. So I guess my question is, how can I get my fix and give you money too?

  • http://www.nuklearpower.com Brian!

Or you could buy some trades. I promise they look very nice on bookshelves.

  • Scott!

Question: I'm not a dirt under the fingernails kind of guy, nor does my apartment have a yard or other suitable plot of land. But I like looking at pictures of flowers on the internet. How can I get into gardening?

    That's a tough one Jacob.

You could download the illegal Torrents, and then PayPal each of us $3.

You can also see a few Robo shorts over on http://www.nuklearpower.com

  • Scott!

    Double Yes.

  • http://www.nuklearpower.com Brian!

Or you could buy some trades. I promise they look very nice on a bookshelf.

  • http://serge-lj.livejournal.com/ Serge

Buy the trades, read them then pass them on to a young mind awaiting corruption by comics. It'll make her/him happy, and also the Clevinger & Wegener Families too.

  • yayap91

Nevermind, we got it replaced today actually. Right after we found out it was out of warranty.
