Atomic Robo 4.4, come git you some!

The fourth and final issue of Atomic Robo and the Revenge of the Vampire Dimension comes out this Wednesday, June 30th!

It’s been a long week for Atomic Robo. The Vampire Dimension invaded his home. A giant mutant sea-beast chased him through Tokyo. An insane and probably not super genius velociraptor shot him out of the skies over the South Pacific and held him hostage in a cave. Now he’s being haunted by a scientifically impossible entity from his past. Meet Atomic Robo’s newest nemesis: his oldest nemesis!

Expect to see the trade paperback collection later this summer under the original title Atomic Robo and Other Strangeness. It’ll be jam packed with extras: FCBD 2009 (as the intro to issue 4.3), maybe FCBD 2010, and four or five all new never before seen back up comics shedding new light on the vampire dimension and Dr. Dinosaur.

Meanwhile it looks like Scott and I are settling into our respective new shelters against the elements. Most of his days are still taken up by This Old House style projects while I sit on one corner of the couch gently rocking back and forth and weeping quietly because I’m too paralyzed by all the piles of junk and stacked up boxes to make it stop looking like a hoarder lives here.

Something close enough to order has been carved out of the madness that both of us can to get back to work. Well, in fits and starts anyway, lurching like corpses motivated by dark pacts and half-rotten muscle. Grasping pencil and laptop without understanding either. All thought, all humanity utterly gone and replaced forever by hatred. By hunger.

I can't wait to see this in print…then convince all my friends to buy a copy!

Are the extras you speak of in the new TPB the robo comics from nuklearpower.com?

  • http://www.nuklearpower.com Brian!

Yes and no. The Majestic 12 comic from NP.com will be included, but so will several others that I didn't get to put online beforehand due to scheduling issues, then technical difficulties, then moving! They'll go online before the TPB goes live though.

    Woot!

Great! Now I can end that Robo withdrawal I have experienced. When will we see volume 5? I have enjoyed this run (Dr. Dinosaur is great, my gaming group has just about made him our mascot).

  • Scott!

Not until November I'm afraid. I was knee deep in Iron Man and moving when Diamond needed the Robo cover for an October solicitation.

But that cover is done now, and I'l probably slap it up on Twitter later today for people to check out . . .and wonder.

    Oh and: RRRRRRRRRRRRRNNNNNNNNNGGGHH

Had to call the local comic shop, and got my copy reserved. I also got one for our “party treasure” to go with the pizza and soda.

PS and RRRRRRRRRRRRRNNNNNNNNNGGGHH to you too

Issue 4 was great. Thanks for a great story, and see ya in November for Volume 5!

I just got around to picking it up the other day. Awesome issue as usual guys. Can't wait to see what the ghost will do in a later issue.

And since everyone else is doing it, what the hell. RRRRRRRRRRRRNNNNNNNGGGHH

Great end to a great volume. Can't wait to see more Undead Edison too, great design work there.

I kept waiting for someone to call him Thomas Undeadison, though. I assumed that's where you were going with it but the line never came. IT NEVER CAME!
