Kickstarting Atomic Robo – PHASE 2

Kickstarting Atomic Robo - PHASE 2

You guys have totally rocked our worlds on this Kickstarter. Now, it’s our turn.

The Fictory announced new goals and rewards earlier today. You can read all about on our Kickstarter page.

There’s a lot of information to digest there, so let me hit you with the highlights.

50,000 clamsA Dr. Dinosaur Video Game.

The game will be available for the iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, and Mac. You play as Dr. D himself during his latest (and obviously best) plot to destroy Tesladyne, history, or the world (whichever comes first).

It will feature an original story and dialog by me. Upon completion the game will be available in the App Store.

Pretty bad ass, yeah?

There’s more!

100,000 smackersWanna see Dr. Dinosaur get his own short film? Good, because that’s what you get at this level.

I will write the script, Scott will make the storyboards, and The Fictory will work their magic to give it life with rapidly moving stills synchronized with sounds and music. This will create the illusion of a “moving picture.” We think this technology will go quite far.

The short will concern The Very Real And Definitely True Story of Dr. Dinosaur’s Ultimate Revenge.

But that’s not all!

250 big onesAt this level you get the Dr. Dino video game, the Dr. Dino short film, and a grand total of three (3) Atomic Robo short films.

Each one will be a chapter of the larger story of the super weapon that’s hinted at in the new trailer.

And, though it should go without mentioning by now, yup, I’ll write these too.

And on top of this stuff you still get your choice of those amazing rewards including cameos in the animations, cameos in Vol 8: Atomic Robo and the Savage Sword of Dr. Dinosaur, original art from the animations, the productions, and Scott Wegener. These are one-of-a-kind items and this is your one chance to get them. It doesn’t matter if we make it to $250k or not, you still get those rewards.

Check it out.

Any chance the game could come to Android or PC? Not really an Apple guy

Your best bet would be to tell The Fictory guys. You can comment on the Kickstarter page if you’re already a backer.

Ok my life mission for the next 38 days is to make that number hit 250,000.

    Cool, will do.

Jumping Jesus. Has there ever been an almost completely fan-funded animated series before? I’m pretty sure that would be animation history.

  • Brandmeister

A Doctor Dinosaur iOS game. I would totally pay five bucks for that.

  • Phoenix316

Can someone loan me $1200?  I really want to be a character in the Dr. Dino volume of Atomic Robo.

  • CrookedKnight

Aw, man, the computer version is for Mac? But I want to crush mammals!

  • Theorb77

I want the Scott Wegener reward. He would be my art slave, chained to a desk, making Robo pictures.

  • Scott!

    . . .

  • http://www.nuklearpower.com Brian!

But that’s what he already is!

  • Jeff Wiesneski

Same here, I have PC, Android and WebOS, nothing Apple.

Sadly, quoting from the campaign itself…

“There’s currently no way (that we can find) to port an Xcode native game to Android, but trust we’ll always be in communique with Brian and Scott and perhaps it’s something we can one day make happen.”

  • Sean

I don’t know if I’ll be able to donate much at all, but I’d be more than happy to do what I can.

"The truth may be puzzling. It may take some work to grapple with.
It may be counterintuitive. It may contradict deeply held prejudices.
It may not be consonant with what we desperately want to be true.
But our preferences do not determine what's true."
