Robot News You Can Use

We didn’t win an Eisner! Again!

But Scott and I had a great time at ConnectiCon. Good food, good people, it’s a treat every year and I’ve been doing it for ten. Holy hell. Most importantly though I scored the first edition Shadowrun core book from 1989. This thing is a treasure trove of ridiculous ideas about the shape of near future technology and I love everything about it.

There were lots of Atomic Robo RPG play tests last week. We didn’t get to participate in any of them, sadly, but the feedback has been solid. We’re still shooting for a Q1 2013 release date.

If you are a totally rad dude or lady, then you should get the Atomic Robo skateboard. It comes in both signed and unsigned varieties.

The sixth issue of Atomic Robo Presents Real Science Adventures is now available for pre-order. This concludes the first volume of our anthology series. Look for the collected edition later this year!

The second issue of Atomic Robo and the Flying She-Devils of the Pacific will be out on the first of August. So, not this week, but next!

Loving “Real Science Adventures”…. “The dark age” was practicly heartbreaking…

You won a “Didn’t Win An Eisner Award” Award again?  Congratulations!
Seriously though, what does it take?  An issue where Robo battles heroin addiction and gets raped?

Bad luck on the Eisner award. It was a strong title to lose against though. The best arcs of my two favourite series; I couldn’t decide who I wanted to win, but after they were announced was disappointed it wasn’t Robo :-( .

Looking forward to more Robo – can’t you clone Scott so we can have it weekly Brian? Two weeks is too far away…

It may be counterintuitive. It may contradict deeply held prejudices.
It may not be consonant with what we desperately want to be true.
