Atomic Robo Kickstarter LIVE

Atomic Robo Kickstarter LIVE

We’re launching Robo into the kickstartosphere!

Check out the campaign for full details, but here’s the short version: you can get T-shirts, buttons, lab coats, genuine crystals endorsed by Doctor Dinosaur himself, and most importantly of all the Official Tesladyne Field Guide to Action Science.

Stay tuned for updates, more campaign exclusives, and stretch goals!

  • Ryan Melvaer

Awesome! Is the the Super Rad Merch? Also, will you be adding more than just 10 of the higher tiers?

  • Kaijumaster

I swore I’d never do another kickstarter until ‘Last Stop’ came out….
Whats that Email? It is out?! Well lets do some Kickstarting!

  • Kaijumaster

SHOWZA! Already well past the goal.
Oof, no pledge short of the $100 to get the Posters & Coffee Mug?
Guess thats just where I’ll have to Pledge.

  • Hypocee

So exactly twenty-five people in the world can get a Tesladyne polo :(

  • Kal

Can we expect, like Brian’s other book, that the Tesladyne Field Guide will take a very dark turn in the last few chapters?

  • Nick Smith

I have a question. As my beloved wife has promised to disembowel me with my own credit card if I back another kickstarter, will the Field Guide be available to ordinary mortals after the campaign has finished?

  • Asymptote

I pledged to get the Lab Coat :) . Wonder how many people will get the reference at next year’s Comic-Con :-).
I have a question : Will the lab coat be usable as a real lab coat? It needs to be 100% cotton to be used that way (I do robotics, and it’d just be awesome and very motivating to work on my project in this coat!).

    OFFICIAL ANSWER:
We are getting our lab coats from real lab coat suppliers. These are Serious Lab Coats For Use In Laboratories. They just happen to have the Tesladyne gear emblem on them.

Though I’m not sure you’d want to use the destroyed Dr. Dinosaur versions.

  • http://www.nuklearpower.com Brian!

Probably not. Though I make no promises about the proposed chapter/article/entry/whatever written by our very own real life action scientist.

  • Asymptote

    Awesome! Thanks!

Juices just shot out of me! Not sure what they were, but they were released in extreme excitement.

I have been bugging you guys and Red5 for months for some Robo merchandise, now I not only get to help support my favorite artists/creator/writer, I get some awesome swag to boot.

  • http://www.nuklearpower.com Brian!

A late answer, re: later tiers, but yes! They’re already live.

  • Kaijumaster

    so, question.
The 4th poster. The “Space” one. We getting the colored version? Or the line-art version? 8-)

  • Scott!

In the nearish future there will be a detailed description of all the secondary merch that was in a state of limbo -like the Space poster and the ID Badge.

I have to actually draw that poster since the original is about an inch tall in the background of a single panel of Vol.6 and actually says “SPACE: FUCK YEAH!” on it.

My basic work schedule looks like this: Finish VOl.8 and Vol.8 TPB Cover. Design new convention banner in time for NYCC. Spend a month doing posters and sketches and signing books for the Kickstarter. :)

  • Scott!

Eventually. They won’t be signed or sketched in, but once our online store goes live it will be available there.

  • Scott!

You should have gotten a link to the almost-finished Last Stop short from those guys weeks ago.

  • Kaijumaster

well yes, the ‘Space: F yeah’ was rather the source of my amusement and question. 8-)

  • Nick Smith

That’s good news. I wasn’t expecting any of the special additions (they should rightly be reserved for the kickstarter backers), just the ability to buy it at some point.
Will it be available retail, or only via your online store?

  • Scott!

Online store first. Retailers . . .eventually.

We lose a HUGE % to the direct market. We’ll need to do some math to see if it is worth offering it in retail stores.
