Wardenclyffe, Now With Less Tower

This past weekend The Widget and I set out to visit the last remaining laboratory in the United States used by Nikola Tesla. I knew going into it that this was going to be a rough one as no matter what we actually saw or learned. Earlier in the week she asked me if there would be robots and giant turbines, and would we get to see lightning flying all around the lab.

MLK Day & . . .Are Those Pubes?

When this goes live it will officially be MLK Day.  I’m currently planning on taking the Widget to the Museum of the Moving Image to see King: A Filmed Record . . .Montgomery to Memphis. The only down-shot to this idea is that the museum is in Queens, so it might as well be in Boston or Richmond as far as convenience of location is concerned. More than likely I will work half a day and she will play Beetles Rockband and we’ll go out for lunch together. But that’s all happening tomorrow, (which is today from your perspective). Truth is stranger than fiction

Over the years I’ve seen a few comments about our “odd” decision to align Thomas Edison with the supernatural*. His “spirit phone” or “necrophone” has been mentioned. He had the ghost of Rasputin attack Tesla’s home. And then we turned him into an apparition.

To those people, I say “Neener, neener.”



*Of course, technically it’s not supernatural, it’s consciousness projected through a mostly unknown field of energy.
