Sometimes I Hate Scott

Last Updated on Monday, 9 March 2009 04:42 Written by Brian! Monday, 9 March 2009 04:31

First, there’s the baseline hatred I have for all artists. It comes from a deep and intense jealousy. The kind that burns like you need a salve.

Then there’s the hatred that his art improves much faster than my writing. It will soon become evident that one of us doesn’t know what he’s doing and it’s not going to be him.

But today I hate him because with a 10 minute sketch he’ll convince me to do whole new and super fun stories that’ll take months to do.

That's awesome! Can't wait to find out what the story here is!

It's revenge for . . .shit, son . . .too many things to mention.

And just an aside; artists are just as jealous of writers. Or I am at any rate.

Skeleton in a suit: almost as good as SKELETON IN A SPACESUIT.

    But I dig either.

I read an interview with the always interesting Todd McFarlane, who said he believed that the relationship between artists and writers was not equal, but in a 49%, 51%, respectively, way. I don't know if I agree with that or not.

Are you actually coming up with a new story for that guy, or maybe introducing him in Robo? 'Cause yeah, skeletons in clothing are always great.

Yup. He'll have an issue in the new version of Vol 4 and maybe we'll see him after that.

BURNING HEAD skeleton in a suit singing a nursery rhyme.

THIS plus the fact that I know Brian C. is going to come up with something endearingly demented to do with him is why I love Atomic Robo.

There was a minor struggle at the beginning, but I think what we've got planned is going to be hysterical.
