…Atomic Robo would make a great movie.

Our foray into Hollywood has been a frustrating one, but it is early in the career of Robo as an intellectual property. It took Marvel thirty-five years to put together a Spidey movie that was worth watching. I guess it’s okay if it takes us more than one. Still, I look forward to speaking with the studio that figures out we made a summer action movie franchise goldmine for them in the shape of a comic book series.

Imagine an Indiana Jones who never ages. Imagine a Lost Ark or a Ghostbusters pulled off every two years.

There’s nearly ninety years of adventures to draw from. The two pictures linked above represent two days out of one week of those ninety years. Put another way, combined, they are 1/16,425th of the total Robo experience. That’s gonna put a lot of meat in the seats.

Poor Wall-E doesn't have much of a chance there.

Also it's funny to see Robo speaking in a Claremont or Deadpool style where what he's saying can't possibly fit into the time implied by the composition :D

How does Hollywood have time to make two movies about magicians – does anyone besides people who have lost all their money to the slot machines in Vegas even go to magic shows anymore – but they cannot make one film about an atomic robot.

Sorta makes you question whether there is intelligent life in Hollywood.

Basically every piece of news from Hollywood makes my blood pressure spike. Every headline just reads like “Vast Sums Of Money Wasted On Yet Another Creatively Bankrupt And Absurdly Cynical Project.”

“We love the project! It's terrific! It's perfect! Just the thing we need for a summer tentpole project! But does he have to be a robot? We can get Brad Pitt for the lead if we just change that one little thing.”
