Let’s get this party Kickstarter-ed

Remember that trailer for The Fictory’s short film Atomic Robo: Last Stop?

Well, it’s back, baby! And it needs your help to be finished! Please consider backing our project and letting your fellow Robo fans know about it. Upon completion the film will go online for everyone to see for free. We just need a little helping getting it to that point. Thanks!

In.  Good to see you guys expanding your media empire!  ;o

    It has been done.

  • Brandmeister

Well, congratulations on getting funded! I have no idea why you guys aimed so low on the funding level, but it’s always cool to see things succeed on the first day. When you do the Dr. Dinosaur Movie Kickstarter, go for at least fifty.

Here’s hoping that this Kickstarter goes Order of the Stick huge! :D

  • JustinHarford

$35 of my hard earned dollars are yours! I am excited to be able to help!

Good ideas go rewarded.  $17,000 in half a day.  And I think that if you put the number at double the $12k you guys set, you’d have also already funded this after half a day.  Atomic Robo is AMAZING, and I can’t wait to see this made ^_^

On behalf of everyone at The Fictory, Scott, and myself: THANK YOU.

I had a feeling we’d make the bare minimum eventually, but I thought we’d have to fight to get to the $25k. Here we are, half way through Day One, and we’re at $17k.

    Clearly, I am dumb!

damn my lack of a cerdit card, it agian is making it hard for me to throw monies at you!

1.5 days, 25k.  I seriously think that if you had put the number higher, you would have gotten more and faster.

  • Trell

Fantastic.  I hope this becomes a weird pilot for some possible show.  Because that would be fun.  Use WarRock’s ‘I am an Action Scientist” as a theme.  It would be amazing.

  • JustinHarford

It would be awesome but I have a fear that when stuff is turned into TV shows that it will be the plaything of the producers and studio that don’t really get it and turn it into either way to kiddie or way to sexual… it is a fine balancing act to remake something from another medium and make it still good but honest to the source material.

Well, the script is by Brian, so it’s in the best of hands.

  • Brandmeister

If they Kickstarter the episodes (or small blocks of episodes), then control could be kept 100% in-house.

  • Dsf

I’m so glad I could throw money at this project! Bring more of those!

  • http://www.nuklearpower.com Brian!

The Fictory is working on some new goals to push the total up and up. Stay tuned next week.

  • Brandon

I knew before I clicked the link that it would take me to a Kickstarter that was already two or three times over its original target.

    Crowd-funding is pretty goddamn amazing.

Just imagine if you guys were to try and raise money for a pilot for an animated series or something.

  • Phoenix316

$55of my hard earned money is now in your hands. Just out of curiosity, what is the size of the poster?

  • http://www.nuklearpower.com Brian!

    Thanks for the support! I believe it’s 20in x 30in.

  • Danny Crash

man!!! there’s so much good things!!! so little money!! and of course i’m gonna help with what i can to pull it off. But i have some questions, i’m mexican, a huge atomic robo mexican fan!!, so if i pledge any amount, the items will be sent here to my home, or do i have to pay for shipment?

  • http://www.nuklearpower.com Brian!

I believe so. Lemme email the Fictory guys and get an official answer from them. Maybe have them add it to the Kickstarter’s official FAQ.

  • Dof_speed

ohhh sorry! thanks!! so we have preferential fee hahaha, thanks a lot Brian, so i’m gonna make the pledge. Can’t wait to see Last Stop finished!
