Atomic Robo Vol 1 FOR FREE

Atomic Robo Vol 1 FOR FREE

What’s better than Atomic Robo?

NOTHING.

But if such a thing existed, it’d be Atomic Robo for free via GameStop’s Power Up Rewards program.

Just check out the Rewards Catalog for Atomic Robo Vol 1. You need an account to get your free comic, so log in if you’re already a member or sign up. Supplies are limited! Somehow!

Neat!  I already own the trade and have purchased a few vol1 issues for friends, but digital is always nice.  And apparently I have like 9000 Gamestop rewards points or something?  I guess it’s this or some shitty halo dogtags or something.

    Doooooo it.

Is this some sort of crazy states only thing where we Canadians just have to sit around all day being sad and apologetic?

  • http://www.nuklearpower.com Brian!

Near as I can tell: yes.

    And that’s pretty crappy.

  • thedocsxbox

Free…kinda. It looks like GameStop is charging 1,950 points to get the digital copies.

    Still, pretty awesome!

  • Scott!

    Whaaaaaaa . . .?

We were told it would be Free. As in not for sale in any sort of currency, even bullshit make believe money.

  • thedocsxbox

Sure enough. They’re charging 1,950 bullshit make believe money points.

  • http://www.nuklearpower.com Brian!

It’s “free” in the sense that if you belong to this program you accrue points over time.

  • thedocsxbox

Like I said. “Still, pretty awesome!” ^_^

  • Ranson

It could be considered “Free” if you play enough videogames online.  If you’ve got a linked Kongregate account, you can add points to the rewards program by playing certain Flash games.  Of course, if you haven’t already been doing that for two years, you’re kinda screwed, but still, it’s a certain value of “Free”.

    Wow, didn’t realize how many points I had.  This + a N7 shirt :D

DO NOT GET THIS!  You have to use the damn shitty comixology website to read them, cannot download them locally, and not even all of Vol 1 is accessible, some of them show a we’re sorry but this isn’t available for online viewing.  False advertising….severely disappointed.

  • http://www.nuklearpower.com Brian!

    1. You can use the ComiXology app to download the comic and read it on iOS or Android devices without ever going to the website.

    2. If the whole volume isn’t accessible, then something is wrong.

    3. So, how about talking to us so we can fix it instead of throwing a fit?

  • Scott!

As usual, I failed to read the fine print. Mainly because I cannot read fine print due to my eyes being destroyed from staring at comic book pages all day. :)

  • Scott!

Dude, c’mon. Pfft! It’s way more satisfying to throw an anonymous tantrum on the Internet. :D

    (I should know!) haha

Did the price of all the Atomic Robo stuff on comixology just double?

I know when I bought them a while ago, singles were .99 and trades were 3.99 or 4.99.

I just told a friend (who just got a tablet) to go buy some and he told me the price was double what I told him.

  • http://www.nuklearpower.com Brian!

It’s been that way for a while.

  • thedocsxbox

For the record, I would like to say thanks to both Brian! and Scott! for making these digital versions available. Very few people give away their art. You are both gentlemen and scholars in my book.
