I was looking back on the past few months the other day and couldn’t help but notice that they were more chaotic than usual.
Everybody on Team Robo moved. Brian and I had to renegotiate our contract with Red5. I did that Avengers mini-series. We got the ball rolling on a second Atomic Robo title which we will talk more about in the future. Brian cannibalized a bunch of Robo ideas, turned them into a Captain America series, and then dumped them back into the Robo pile when Marvel remembered that they don’t make books that are entertaining or accessible to casual readers and cancelled the series. Brian wrote the very fun Iceman & Angel. I did some other stuff also, but copy-pasting “Spent 14 hours drawing a Avengers and/or Robo page” over and over seems a little silly. Continue reading

Its been kind of a weird week. I guess.

I’m sitting here in the pre-dawn gloom waiting for Dorinda to get ready for work. Off to the North I can hear the fog horn of the 6:45am Ferry as it heaves off from Staten Island headed for “The City” as most Islanders still call Manhattan. I guess that whole Consolidation of 1898 hasn’t really sunk in here yet.
I’ll be heading off to Boston tomorrow and you guys probably won’t hear much from me until I get back in May. If you’re in New England I hope you’ll drop by Anime Boston this weekend, or the Boston Comic Con next weekend. I’ll be at both. On the four days off that I’ve got between the two shows I’m planning on working on a few non-Robo comic projects that have been simmering on the back burner for a while now. With luck I will have some sketches and maybe even a page or two to share when I get back. Continue reading
