Back From Italy, Caio!

I can’t believe it’s been almost a week since we got back. I’m still a little off my schedule. Last night I stayed up until midnight and it was amazing -until about Thursday my internal clock was still rockin’ out on Milano time -six hours ahead of us.

Italy was, of course, amazing. The food, the people, the history, the mopeds, the insane drivers, and most importantly -the coffee. Our guide for the week was the incredible Michele Forschini, who despite the fact that I emailed in advance and asked for the correct pronunciation of his name tolerated me mangling it almost the entire time we were there. I had written it down phonetically and committed it to memory -incorrectly. Despite that, Michele made certain that we were well fed and thoroughly entertained. In Milano I acted exactly like the silly awestruck tourists I make fun of back home in New York.

(Our new SCIENCE shirt . . .without the SCIENCE text.)

It’s very slightly possible that I am pushing myself a bit too hard. Last Thursday after kicking my own ass to get the first issue of Robo Vol.4 finished and finally recovering from the nasty cold I got after our trip to Seattle I went to Xmortis at T.T. The Bear’s. In retrospect, going out dancing until 3:30 in the morning, the night before a convention, was kind of stupid. But there was leather, and latex, and corsets, and slutty goth-nurses, and things popping out of corsets -so can you really blame me. Plus, I really love dancing.

Yeah I know, FCBD isn’t until May. But we were told that it was needed soon so we decided to get it out of the way before starting on Volume 4.

I thought I was done with the crazy work schedule when we wrapped up Robo 3.5 (out next week!), but we all knew that was a pipe-dream. Thanks for humoring me though.  Why all the rushing? Because I have to leave for PittCon on Thursday!! You should come and buy my shit. For a nominal fee on top of whatever you purchase I’ll even make small-talk.  Seriously I love meeting people who like what we do. If you’re going to be there you’d better come find me or my heart will be crushed. I won’t be in Artist Alley this year -Eyez gots me a fancy-pants booth.
