Domo Arigato, Mr. Robo-to

Scott Wegna

I’m a little strapped for time today so instead of my usual ramble I’ll just share Devin’s latest version of his fabulous Atomic Robo costume. I’ve been lucky enough to get a few of Devin’s creations to have for my very own and let me tell you -the man is an amazing artist and craftsman.

My apologies to those of you who already follow Brian and me on Twitter (links on the left nav bar), since this is old news to you. But kudos on embracing new distractology!

See Robo in action!

That guy has the craftsmanship skills that would make the mythbusters jealous.

Yeah, the stuff he's done is amazing.

Okay guys, I bounced over here from the majorspoilers.com site. How do I get one of those shirts! I searched the website and could only find the one that is on SplitReason (with Robo and the bomb).
Love the comic every since Stephen and the other Major Spoilers guys introduced me to it! But really, I need to get one of those shirts!

They'll be available at SplitReason soon.

As truly awesome as the Robo suit is, is it bad that I'm almost MORE impressed by the life-sized Helper from Venture Brothers just casually lying around in the background?

Or the fact that he owns Sword-Chucks?

We've seen quite a lot of what Devin has laying around his workshop since he started sending us progress pics of his original Robo costume. You guys don't know even half of what he's got down there that's amazing and wonderful.

“Well from day one of the film's production, Brian and Scott were pretty clear that they didn't want any CG. Brian was all 'Robo's gotta be a suit; Robo's GOTTA be a suit!'. So that was the main challenge. [laughs] How do you justify putting Jeff Bridges in a robot suit?”

Hey, just out of curiosity, do either of you two guys know the amount of those robo statues left still in stock? And if so, do you think they would last until around early April?

  • http://www.nuklearpower.com Brian!

    No clue!

    My god… that's flippin' amazing.

Unrelated: Robo 3-5 blew my mind the first time I read it. Then I recently remembered Harry Potter 3 and All Star Superman issue 6 – the time travel concept wasn't original but you took it and made it great, presented a unique version.
